Tell Congress:
Safeguard Women's Health,
Don't Ban Abortion Coverage

These are stories of real women whose health was seriously threatened by pregnancies that complicated their pre-existing medical conditions. Their doctors recommended against carrying their pregnancies to term. Without health insurance, these women struggled to find a way to pay for the abortion care they needed to protect their health and care for their families.  They and their doctors came forward to share the heartbreaking decisions they faced. To protect the women’s confidentiality, their stories are told by actors.

Women just like this would be denied health insurance coverage for abortions to safeguard their health if Congress passes the extreme anti-choice bills, H.R. 3 and H.R. 358.

Now send a message to Congress

Here's a sample message which you can select, copy, then paste into your own text editor and send as a message to your member of Congress.

Dear Representative,

I urge you to safeguard women’s health and oppose the proposed bans on abortion coverage, HR 3 and HR 358. These bills are dangerous and unfair to women. They threaten women’s health and the well-being of our families.

A woman who learns that her pregnancy will damage her health and put her future at risk is already facing a heart-breaking medical crisis.  Congress should not make her situation worse for the sake of a political ploy to attack health care reform.
