Their doctors recommended against carrying their pregnancies to term. Without health insurance, these women struggled to find a way to pay for the abortion care they needed to protect their health and care for their families. They and their doctors came forward to share the heartbreaking decisions they faced. To protect the women’s confidentiality, their stories are told by actors.
Women just like this would be denied health insurance coverage for abortions to safeguard their health if Congress passes the extreme anti-choice bills, H.R. 3 and H.R. 358.
